A jobless man who spouted racist abuse outside shop in Greenhill has been fined £165. David Banborough, of Blackburn Road, pleaded guilty to making racially aggravated threats towards Kamal Omer. Prosecutor Neil Sweeney told Canterbury Magistrates’ Court how the 45-year-old had tried to swing a punch at Mr Omer, shouted abuse, and made threatening hand gestures. Hugh Robertson, for Banborough, said there had been an ongoing feud between the pair, and that Mr Omer held a grudge. Magistrates also ordered Banborough to pay £400 costs and a £20 victim surcharge.
