Museum’s great

I felt cross after reading the comments of so-called art critic Brian Sewell about Canterbury’s Beaney Museum (“Brian lambasts boring Beaney,” Times, December 2). Yes, there were cow paintings but there was so much more to see, such as a really good library, computer facilities which catered for all ages and a brilliant notice board with news of exhibitions.

The best one I saw was packed with cartoons of Giles. There were some lovely paintings, Victorian artifacts and military costumes. I suggest Mr Sewell returns to take another look.
