It’s a terrible shame that Camelot will not allow Mr Butters, owner, of Arkwrights grocery store in Greenhill a lottery terminal (Why Is Having A Ticket Machine Such A Lottery?, Letters, Herne Bay Gazette).
The shop is a godsend for the local community, the majority being senior citizens. The nearest terminal is at a store at the roundabout on the Thanet Way, a long walk for an elderly person to attempt in any weather. A wait of 20 minutes to half an hour each way for a bus. A shop in the vicinity with a lottery terminal would certainly improve peoples chances to play Lotto.
