Don’t tell us not to think for ourselves

The letter from Anne Belworthy published last week appeared to criticise the people from this area who voted for UKIP or the Tories (Don’t Overlook Benefits Of EU, Letters and Opinion, Herne Bay Gazette, June 5). She lists her view of the advantages of the Human Rights Act, but did not point out the many disadvantages. The latest shows that we cannot deport 600 convicted criminals who hide behind the act. In the very last paragraph of her letter she states how many people really understand what they are voting for. Is Anne telling the people of Herne Bay that they cannot think for themselves or follow their own convictions when voting for the party of their choice?
