Enjoyed a wonderful walk around Herne Bay in the sunshine yesterday. I really do think someone deserves a pat on the back for what is happening in the town. The pier looks great with the new beach huts, offering all sorts of great things to buy and eat etc. The gardens along the seafront are perfect for a stroll and so cleverly planted and organised. The handstand was buzzing too — lots to browse around and somewhere very pleasant to have a coffee or an ice cream and watch the world go by. Passed the Clock Tower and great to see that it is being renovated. On to the town and really loved the new market there. It must be bringing so many more people into the centre, as the shops, as well as the stall sseemed to be packed out. Back home via the Memorial Park. The flower beds are looking wonderful and the Victorian pagoda seemed to be a real meeting point for lots of people. We sat in the sunshine and enjoyed a delicious, and very reasonably priced, egg and bacon roll. This refreshment facility has been needed for such a long time.
So, thank you to whoever is responsible for what has been happening in our lovely town. Really well done!
