People in Herne Bay and Whitstable were forced to put up with noise nuisance this weekend. Put upon neighbours took to Twitter to complain about the noise, believed to have been caused by work on the wind farm extension off the east Kent coast.
Swedish energy company Vattenfall has begun construction on 15 new turbines in its Kentish Flats wind farm.
And it appears builders are making heavy work of their progress:

The extension will increase the size of the 30-turbine farm by 50 per cent, and it will be the only wind farm to start building offshore in UK waters this year.
The company responded to the complaints by offering to discuss the plans in more detail, with a spokesman confirming they were ahead of schedule.
