Pupils saw exactly what is going on in their head teachers head when psychologist Dr David Wilkinson gave an assembly to children at Herne Bay Junior School last week. The University of Kent expert delved into head teacher Frances Nation’s brainwaves in a live show on the big screen. School spokesman Paula Amos said:

“While a lot of attention is given to exploring the outer reaches of space, much remains to be learned about the inner space of our minds. The demonstration revealed that Mrs Nation’s brain is a big ball of electricity. Probes showed how, through electrical stimulation, brain waves can be change, which might one day help people with brain disease.”

Dr Wilkinson, who lives in Herne Bay, has led research in helping people overcome brain disorders with electric and thermal currents to their heads.
