The cartoons that wasted human lives

I’M ALL for free speech. I have misgivings about most religions but I will never find them funny. I have misgivings about Islam, eg, about their attitude to other faiths, their thoughts about the value of human life and their attitude to women. I demand the right to be secular but I’ll never understand why people have to lampoon religions, especially when these are such volatile times. This magazine office in Paris procured police protection – and those officers who covered this building were totally unprepared for what they were to be faced with. So they got the chop. Totally unnecessary, a total waste of human life. In this case, free speech is a bauble.
