SCI-FI FEST: Darth Vader finds your lack of faith disturbing

ACTORS from Game Of Thrones, Dr Who and Red Dwarf will be among the star attractions at Herne Bay’s third annual science-fiction event. Planning for Sci-Fi By The Sea 3, to be held in the grounds of Herne Bay Junior School in the summer, is well under way.

In an impressive coup for the event on Father’s Day, June 21, three actors from smash TV hit Game Of Thrones – Ross Mullan, Josephine Gillan and Pixie Le Knot — will be present, along with a range of other actors from the world of sci-fi TV and film. Former Dr Who Sylvester McCoy and his assistant Ace (Sophie Aidred) will both be attending the event, along with cult series Red Dwarfs favourite robotic servant Kryten (Robert Llewellyn).

Props

Visitors can expect to see the 1989 Michael Keaton Batmobile, the time-travelling Back To The Future DeLorean, a 1928 Renault TT used in the Indiana Jones films, plus a host of sci-fi props and characters ranging from Tardises, Daleks, R2D2, Return Of The Jedi Speeder Bikes and a lifesize Jabba The Hutt. Throughout the day there will be live music, hot-food stalls and superheroes and villains from Iron Man and Spider-Man to Darth Vader and Boba Fett, plus Frozen favourites Elsa and Anna for the little ones. There will certainly be lots to see and do, without forgetting the eight-foot Titan the Robot and a lifelike moving and walking Tyrannosaurus Rex.

Tickets for the event are priced at £7 for adults, £5 for children and £20 for a family ticket (two adults, two children). Tickets can be bought from the Kids Korner, Peters Produce and The Activity Box stores.
Alternatively, you can book online at www.baypromoteam.ticketsource.co.uk.
