EXCLUSIVE: EDL member’s pirate station off the air after police seize transmitter

A right-wing pirate radio station operating out of a house in Herne Bay was shut down this week after police raided the home of the man running it. As many as 14 officers seized a transmitter and other equipment before arresting top English Defence League member Davey Russell. The 44-year-old later described the raid as “overkill” in a rant to his 3,500 followers on Facebook. He added:

“This is not a big outfit, but it’s something we have to suffer. We are not earning money out of it.
