Today (Friday) is set to be the hottest day of the year so far, with temperatures in some areas set to reach 22°C.
It will be dry and partly cloudy, with the highest temperatures by mid-afternoon.
Canterbury and the towns around it are expected to see highs of 18°C.
People are being warned about going outside to enjoy the nice weather however, with pollution levels set to be dangerously high.
It comes from a mix of the warm air, traffic fumes, pollution from the continent and dust coming over from the Sahara.
The south east is expected to be one of the worst affected areas.
Anyone with lung or heart problems are being advised to stay indoors as is anyone doing exercise.
Many people will just notice a dry throat and itchy eyes.
Fresher air from the Atlantic is expected to reach us tomorrow!…. When the weather is cooler…
