The site of the proposed solar farm, backing onto the airport site
PLANS have been submitted to build a solar farm across 20 acres of agriculture land adjacent to the Manston airport site.
A planning application submitted on Friday by London-beased firm Solar Planning Ltd, could see 2.31-metre high solar panels constructed on the land.
If approved, the farm could create three full-time jobs and 40 part-time roles.
The application also includes plans for a two-metre high security fence, CCTV installation and ancillary single-storey buildings.
