Motorbike stolen just feet from owner’s front door

A RESIDENT from Swalecliffe has had his motorcycle stolen 10 feet from his front door. The silver Honda XL125 Varadero, worth £3000, was taken some time between 2am and 4.45am on Thursday, November 13. The bike has a large box attached, which has two distinct scratch marks on the top. A Shoei helmet worth £479, an all-in-one wet suit worth £70 and a Matrix insurance-approved bike lock worth £80, which were inside the box, were also taken. Gary Russell, of Swakeley Walk, who has had the bike for just over a year, said:

“I am absolutely gutted, is my pride and joy and I have spent a lot of money on it recently, it’s just had a major service, new tyres, battery chain and a sprocket set as well as new pads and discs.”

Kent Police have been notified about the theft and investigations are ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to call the police on 101 and use the reference number: ZY/037259/14
