Plans to create a new open entrance in the United Reformed Church in Mortimer Street have been submitted to Canterbury City Council. The designs by CLP Architects will be part of a new community centre and cafe which will open out into the busy shopping street. The proposals can be viewed online at www.canterbury.gov.uk
Fair at school
Hampton Primary School’s annual summer fair will take place tomorrow (Friday). School spokesman Tracy Self said:
“We have numerous family stalls, tombolas, lucky dips, cake sales, bouncy castles, pony rides, fire engines, and lots more.”

Wildwood wildlife park in Herne has appealed for people to donate their old teddy bears for a new fundraising campaign. They want the bears for a secret mission and any donations are welcome, although the preferred size is 25cm. They cannot be returned.
