In brief

Coastguards were called out twice on Sunday to help a motor cruiser with no fuel and the occupants of a capsized dinghy. The cruiser Lady Amour ran out of fuel two miles off Herne Bay and was towed to shore by the Whitstable lifeboat. The dinghy capsised at Tankerton and two people were seen in the water waving for help. They were picked up by Whitstable lifeboat and taken ashore where they were met by the coastguard. No one was hurt.
