Homeless cats can’t wait for Santa Paws

GIFT: Norman with a Christmas shoebox
GIFT: Norman with a Christmas shoebox

THERE are only six more weeks to go till Santa Paws will be coming to town! I’m excited to see what he will bring as I’ve been exceptionally good this year. But not all felines will have a stocking or warm hearth of their own by December 25. On Christmas day, the RSPCA Canterbury and Dover animal centre will have over 80 homeless cats and kittens in its care, and our team needs your help to make them feel extra special, via our RSPCA shoe box appeal.

All you need to do is decorate and fill a box with goodies for our resident cats (food, toys and blankets always go down well) and drop it off at one of our local charity shops. Together, we can fill the cattery with festive cheer – one shoe box at a time. You can also support our work by taking part in our big Christmas raffle. There are plenty of fantastic prizes up for grabs, such as tickets for P&O Ferries and the Gulbenkian Theatre, and plenty of other hampers and vouchers to be won, as well as a giant tatty teddy! Raffle tickets are available to buy from our animal centre or from any of our RSPCA shops, and all proceeds will go directly towards helping our animals. I already have my stubs – they sell out fast!
