Almost 150 crimes were committed in a month in the Herne Bay area, latest Home Office statistics reveal. The figures relate to December last year and reveal a total of 147 reported crimes during the month.
Unsurprisingly, Heron ward, which includes the busy town-centre areas of Central Parade, King’s Road and High Street, had far and away the highest number of recorded crimes in the Herne Bay area, with 96.
Herne and Broomfield had a total of 20 crimes, with Greenhill and Eddington recording 19.
The ward least affected by crime in December was Reculver, which includes Beltinge, Bishopstone and the eastern edge of Herne Bay, with 12 crimes reported.
