I TOO am very concerned about the ever increasing amounts of dog faeces that is deposited daily on the streets of Tankerton, the Tankerton slopes and beach. Dogs run freely on the beach, in and out of the beach huts and up onto the slopes. Dogs that are not wormed regularly may be infected with toxocariasis which can cause a potentially serious infection particularly in children between the age of 18 months and five years. A dog on a lead is under the control of its owner which is a policy that the council should support for everyone’s health and wellbeing.
