A conference to look at what could be learned from last year’s winter floods in Kent has taken place.
Organised by the Campaign to Protect Rural England (CPRE), the conference heard from Ashford MP, Damian Green, and the leader of Kent County Council, Paul Carter.
David Thompson, senior analyst, at the Committee on Climate Change also spoke.
More than 200 homes were flooded in the Yalding and Tonbridge area a year ago, and thousands were left without power.
The conference was held at Sessions House, in Maidstone.
