JUST what do you call a gorilla?

It’s a question that has been taxing the good folk at Canterbury Garden Centre in Herne Common, who have acquired a 9ft statue of the impressive primate and need to find a name for it.

The person who comes up with the best name will win a cake donated by a Herne Bay business.

Paul Dye, from the garden centre, said there had been a tremendous

“We’ve had a great response – phenomenal. We can’t keep up with the demand for forms to name the gorilla.”

The deadline to enter the competition is Friday, February 20, so make sure you drop in at the centre, on Canterbury Road, Herne Common (CT6 7LJ).
