I would like you to publish a letter to thank a young man in white van who stopped and helped me. It was Monday morning and I was driving from Canterbury to Wingham garage when my car broke down on the S bend at Littleboume. I started the long walk to Wingham when a young man in a white van pulled over and asked me if I was the driver of the broken-down car. I said yesandbe then saidcould he phone the garage – which he then did before arranging for a tow to be done. He was so helpful. I bad found the thought of the long walk quite depressing and was so grateful to him. In the worry of the car breaking down, I regret I never even asked the lad his name, nor can I identify the van, so your help is needed. White van driver needs to be thanked! In this day of moans and grizzles about young people, it’s lovely to be able to thank a young person for helping an elderly one.
