Arrests carried out this week

• A 28-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of drink driving after a car crashed into a lamppost in Aylesharn in the early hours of Friday morning. Benjamin Law, 28, from Bishop Auckland, was charged with driving with excess alcohol and two assaults. He is due before Folkestone magistrates on May 7.
• A 20-year-old man who pulled down his trousers and exposed himself outside a Canterbury nightclub in the early hours of Sunday morning was arrested by police and given a £90 penalty notice for disorder.
• Police officers were called to help ambulance staff treating an injured man in the Cow Lane car park in Wincheap on Saturday afternoon after he allegedly became violent. Homeless Zbigniew Kucharcyk, 30, was later charged with being drunk and disorderly and is due to appear at Canterbury magistrates court on May 2.
• Detectives investigating a break-in at a house in Iffin Lane, Canterbury, in January, have charged a man with burglary. Kamil Grzechnik, 23, of Shalloak Road, Canterbury, is also to face a charge of theft of meat from Marks & Spencer when he appears before Canterbury magistrates on May 16.
