My wife and I were very pleased to learn of the Clean Up Kent campaign launched by the KM Group. The feature in the Gazette focused on the condition of Kent’s major roads, including the A2.However, many country roads, which are not the responsibility of the Highways Agency, are also in a disgraceful condition. Do local district councils have an obligation to clear Utter from minor roads and, if so, how can they do this when budgets are under severe strain? Major companies such as Sainsbury’s, McDonalds, Homebase and Tesco should feel a moral obligation to clean up and the KM Group might wish to raise this matter with them. I wish the KM Group every success.
